Downloading
All the software titles available from this site are
in zipped format to decrease download times, so you need to have
an Unzip program installed on your computer in order to open them
up. Here's what to do:

Click on the link for the product you want (or right-click
and choose 'Save link')
|

If your browser asks you if you want to open
or save the file, choose 'Save'
|
|
Select a destination directory and filename
on your hard disk, e.g. C:\Install\rucalc.zip
|
|
Your browser will download the zip file and save it to the
destination path
|
|
Locate the zip file and unzip it into the same
directory, e.g. C:\Install\
|
|
Run the 'setup.exe' file that has been unzipped, e.g. C:\Install\setup.exe
|
|
Follow the Setup installation instructions
|
RUCalc Notes
Once RUCalc has been installed, you can start the
calculator by clicking on the Really Useful Calculator icon in the
Start-Programs Menu.
MyPictures Screen Saver Notes
When installing MyPictures Screen Saver, the installation
program will report an error as it tries to create a program icon.
This is no cause for concern. Just click 'Ignore' and all will be
well. For those interested to know, it happens because Windows doesn't
like creating an icon for it in the Start Menu.
