KnotWorker

KnotWorker Screenshots

The Main Window

The Main KnotWorker Window
The main window contains the workarea where you can draw out and position KnotBoxes using the drag-and-drop technique. KnotBoxes are basically boxes filled with knotwork, with editable colour properties and underlying breakline layouts to control the flow of the knot.

Many of the most useful features are available from buttons on the toolbar, such as Save, Effects, Flip, Rotate, Bring To Front and so on. The colour palette and swatches are to the left of the workarea, and above these is the KnotStyle selector, which is a bit like a font selector but for knots. The status panel is alongside this, displaying size and position details.

Editing Breaklines

Editing Breaklines
The Breakline Editor is where you control the path or flow of a knot. Breaklines and blocks can be used to deflect the knot path, allowing you to make original and interesting designs.

There are several time-saving features available within the Breakline Editor, such as a mirror facility for when you want to create a symmetric design, and a Diamond button to give your knot an instant diamond shape.

The KnotStyle Designer

The KnotStyle Designer
More advanced users can get to grips with creating their own KnotStyles to give their knots the exact character they want. As mentioned above, KnotStyles are a bit like fonts for knots, so changing the KnotStyle of a KnotBox can radically alter its appearance.

The KnotStyle Designer makes creating KnotStyles easy, with all the tools you need and a helpful tutorial to get you started in minutes.
